Covid-19: Here is How You Can Contribute to PM CARES Fund

PM Modi on 28 March 2020 announced a PM CARES relief fund to battle the Covid-19 pandemic in India. The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) will be used for battling against coronavirus and similar situations in the future.

The Prime Minister himself is the chairman of this trust and he has asked people to contribute to the PM Cares Fund’s account.

If you want to donate for the PM Cares relief fund, you should know these steps so that you can make payment easily.

You can go to the pmindia.gov.in website and donate to PM CARES fund online or you can do it by using the following details:

  • Name of Bank & Branch: State Bank of India, New Delhi Main Branch

The modes of payments that are accepted by the website are as follows –

  • Debit Cards and Credit Cards
  • Internet Banking
  • UPI (BHIM, PhonePe, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, PayTM, Mobikwik, etc.)
  • RTGS/NEFT

Please make sure you make payment to the right account or UPI ID as there are some fake accounts and UPI Ids are being circulates to scam you. To be noted, the donation to this fund will be exempted from income tax.
